Paulton’s park opened its doors 17th May 1983 and is a family run business set up by the Mancey family. With over 70 rides and attractions the amusement park located in the New Forest national park has been a much-loved place for generations.
Paulton’s were faced with recurring problem with the disappearance of small plastic brush gear covers from their ride motors. Concerned about the exposure of the motors to the elements, Nick Holmes a senior operations engineer sought a solution to replace these covers.
Nick explored various avenues to obtain replacement covers, including contacting the manufacturer. However, they were unsuccessful in acquiring the covers separately, prompting them to seek alternative solutions from custom manufacturing providers.
The primary objective was to procure custom brush gear covers that could effectively replace the missing ones on their ride motors. They required a solution that was quick, precise, and tailored to the specific dimensions of the covers, which measured approximately 30mm wide and 40mm long.
The custom brush gear covers designed, and 3D printed by CRM CAD significantly improved Paulton’s maintenance practices and operational efficiency. By protecting the ride motors from environmental damage. This minimised the risk of costly repairs and downtime, thereby enhancing the overall reliability of the rides affected.
Having experienced the positive outcomes of working with CRM CAD, Paulton’s recognised the benefits of custom manufacturing solutions. CRM CAD and Paulton’s have gone on to collaborate across multiple projects including replacement sprinkler heads and
Nick was particularly impressed by the CRM CAD teams responsiveness, attention to detail, and commitment to delivering high-quality solutions. They praised the professionalism and technical competence of the team during each project undertaken.
